North Shore Sewer District has been created by the people during the special election of 11/18/2009:  Yes - 200 and No - 144

 

I would like to take this opportunity to notify the residents in the North Shore Sewer District that the people voted and it passed.  Thank you for taking the time to come out and vote.

SPECIAL REFERENDUM VOTE

NOVEMBER 18, 2009

ON THE

PROPOSED NORTH SHORE SEWER DISTRICT

Where: at the Vienna Town Hall located:

2083 NYS rte 49 in North Bay, NY

Time: Noon-9:00pm

Eligible Voters are:

*Individuals who are listed on the deed

* Each qualified voter will be allotted one vote, no matter the number of parcels they may own within the proposed district.

* Residents who are unable to vote in person may submit an absentee vote which must be received by the town hall by 9:00 PM, November 18, 2009.

*Absentee Ballots can be obtained from the Town Clerk at the above address or call to have a ballot mailed to you as soon as possible.

 --------FACTS--------

*The proposed plan is a low pressure Sewer System which will be used for the collection. A sewer force main along Rt. 49 will convey the wastewater to the North Shore District owned Green Wastewater Treatment Plant.

* Each home will have it own individual grinder pump. The sewer mains are pressurized and there cannot be gravity connections.

*During the initial installation period, the typical connections from residence to the force main will be paid by the District.

*USDA Rural Development Agency has allocated $4million dollars in grant money for the proposed $10,095,000 project.

* It is estimated that at the earliest, 2011 will be the first year residents with a single family home will see approximately $623 or $311 for vacant land on there Town and County Tax Bill.
